Natural History Tour(2 nights/3 days):

Day 1 
On arrival guests will be given refreshment drinks. They will be received by the manager/resident naturalist who will also brief about lodge facilities and discuss about the afternoon programme.

Lunch will be served inside the dining hall or in a good weather, outside in the garden.

BirdLife International has declared the farmlands around Lumbini as an Important Bird Area indicating its importance for birds and biodiversity conservation. After lunch, we will explore the habitat around the camp getting used to of the lowland farmland birds. The camp has 4 hectares of land with mixed woodland, grassland and marshes. Birds may include Grey Hornbill, Asian Koel, Spotted Owlet, Common Babbler, Indian Spotted Eagle, Sarus Crane etc. Time permitting, we will do small walk through the cultivated fields.

Dinner

Day 2              Breakfast

Today, we will start the day with an early breakfast. We will drive for one and half hour to reach Jagdishpur Reservoir which is 40km away from the lodge. This is one of the finest wetlands of central Nepal. On the way we will be making several stops to see the roadside birds. Interesting birds may include Purple Swamphen, Pheasant-tailed Jacana, Cotton Pygmy Goose, Black Ibis, Lesser Adjutant Stork, Black-breasted Weaver, several species of ducks including Ferruginous Ducks and Red-crested Pochard. Most part we will be driving but in few places we will conduct short walks for birds and wildlife. We will return to LBG for late lunch. During the trip we will take fruits, water, other drinks.

Lunch will be served inside the dining hall or in a good weather, outside in the garden.

After lunch we will go for a walk in the farmlands near the resort area for more bird watching. Time permitting, we may wish to do small walk through the cultivated fields and visit to Peace Pagoda Stupa (Japanese Monastery)

Dinner

Day 3 
Before breakfast, we will explore the habitat around the camp for the lowland farmland birds.
