Natural History Tour | 2 nights/3 days
Day 1
On arrival, you will be welcomed with refreshment drinks. Camp staff will be waiting to receive you, and provide a brief about lodge facilities and discuss about the afternoon programme.
Lunch will be served inside the dining hall or in a good weather, outside in the sitting area.
BirdLife International has identified the farmlands of Lumbini as an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area indicating its importance for biodiversity. After lunch, you will be taken to explore the habitat around the camp getting for an introductory walk. The camp has 10 acres of land with mixed woodland, grassland and marshes along the Telar river. Birds may include Grey Hornbill, Asian Koel, Lesser Goldenback, and Brown-capped Pygmy Woodpeckers, Spotted Owlet, Common Babbler, Indian Spotted Eagle, Sarus Crane etc. Time permitting we may be able to do a short walk through the cultivated fields.
Dinner will be served inside the dining hall or during cooler months outside depending on guests' choice.
Day 2
Today, we will start the day with an early breakfast. Soon after, we will drive for one and half hour to reach Jagdishpur Reservoir which is only 40km away from the lodge. Although a drive straight to destination takes only half of that time, we may be stopping along the way to scan and observe some interesting bird species. The Reservoir is one of the most important wetlands of Nepal. During mid-January, as many as 20,000 waterbirds congregate in the Jagadishpur lake. Interesting birds may include Purple Swamphen, Pheasant-tailed Jacana, Cotton Pygmy Goose, Black Ibis, Lesser Adjutant Stork, Black-breasted Weaver, several species of ducks including Ferruginous Ducks and Red-crested Pochard as well as several species of birds of prey including the critically threatened vultures if we are lucky. Most part we will be driving but in few places we will conduct short walks for birds and wildlife. We will return to LBG for late lunch or may take lunch box with us which we can have sitting by the lake area or close to a farmland patch. During the trip, we will take fruits, water, other drinks. Time permitting, we may wish to do small walk through the cultivated fields near the Resort.

Day 3
Before breakfast, we will explore the habitat around the camp for the lowland farmland birds. For those who wish to see the Peace Pagoda may decide to do a walk early in the morning later to be picked up by a vehicle for breakfast.
After our two nights, three days stay we will be departing from Lumbini Buddha Garden.
