Meet Our Chef

Kavi Timilsina hails from Nagarkot area, the eastern rim of Kathmandu valley. His early childhood saw the development of the hill gradually into a tourist hub. Soon after finishing school, he ended up working in one of the prime resorts of Nagarkot, The Fort, for the love of his service to visiting guests. His hard work and perseverance made him rise to the position of head cook. Like many others during the times of earthquake, a difficult period for the tourism industry in Nepal, he decided to work in the UAE for a short period of time where he gained further knowledge of the culinary arts. And the time had come that he returned back to Nepal!

Kavi joined us in 2018 and has been working as a Chef. He brings a bundle of past experiences in his cookery field and has been engaged in preparing dishes for our valued guests. His service with us is running on the fifth year, but more than this, Kavi considers Lumbini Buddha Garden as a second home. While not in the kitchen, he is often supervising the organic farm produce and always thinking of some new things to please guests in the way of his culinary items.

Please have some time to talk to him about his journey of becoming a Chef with us. His story is fascinating and you will enjoy interactions with him! Have a pleasant stay with us!
